W.T.H.I.T. is the acronym of the expression “What The Heck Is This?”. I think seeing the object in question, at first glance, this exclamation mayarise spontaneously. The basic idea of this project, in fact, is to create an object whose function is not imposed by the manufacturer, but isleft to the free possibilities of interpretation by the final user. First of all there is a mirror function that makes this object not purelydecorative. W.T.H.I.T. can, therefore, be placed above a sofa, a console, at an entrance, with the function of a decorative mirror and can be used as a shelf to put books, or as empty-pockets, thanks to the concave shape of the compartments that compose it. In this light, the presence of several compartments may suggest that each family member will use one.
In addition to these primary functions, then, in the image here above, there are some other use proposals, more unusual, such as the use as aclothes hanger, to hang handbags, umbrellas, or hats. Even not excluded the use of the shelf on the ground to use it as a magazine rack or to putsome plants inside. This proposals, however, have the only purpose to illustrate how the use of a material such as a solid surface in union withan organic form, makes truly wide and clears the range of possible uses of this shelf mirror.
